But that has been happening all across America since the year 2000. Did the pharmaceutical companies, who created and marketed opioids as "safe, non-addictive treatment for pain", realize they were unleashing a modern plague? Or was it a deliberate marketing effort?

Many have called the Opioid Epidemic the greatest man-made public health crisis ever. In America, there are over 90 opioid overdose fatalities every day -- 8 every hour. 300,000 deaths since 2000. How did we allow this to happen? Working closely with Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing (PROP), DO NO HARM conducts an exhaustive investigation into the beginning of this public health catastrophe, its geo epicenter, and what we can do to reverse its deadly impact.
